HYDERABAD, August 2: Hyderabad City Police have arrested four wanted suspects, including a man accused of opening fire during a neighborhood dispute and three alleged drug traffickers, during separate operations carried out in different parts of the city.

According to a press release issued by the District Police Hyderabad, the operations were conducted on the directives of DIG Hyderabad Range Tariq Razzak Khan Dharijo and SSP Hyderabad Shahzeb Chachar, under the supervision of SP Headquarters Zain Raza Baloch. The raids were led by SHO City Inspector Tahir Mughal along with his police team.

Suspect in Firing Incident Arrested

Police said they acted on intelligence information to arrest Asad Sheikh, who was wanted in connection with a firing incident that allegedly took place during a dispute between neighbors in Mukti Gali, Imran Plaza, within the jurisdiction of City Police Station.

A case (Crime No. 132/2026) had been registered on the complaint of Muhammad Zeeshan Qureshi under Sections 324 and 504 of the Pakistan Penal Code. Following investigative efforts, police arrested the suspect and said further legal proceedings are underway.

Three Alleged Drug Dealers Held

In separate operations conducted near WAPDA Labour Hall on Risala Road, Main Khokhar Mohalla Chowk, and St. Mary’s Chowk, Tilak Charri, City Police arrested three alleged narcotics dealers.

According to police, the following quantities of charas were recovered:

  • Ali Raza Bhatti: 532 grams of charas.
  • Arbab Qureshi: 516 grams of charas.
  • Fazil alias Fozal Qureshi: 518 grams of charas.

Separate cases (Crime Nos. 133/2026, 134/2026, and 135/2026) have been registered against the three suspects under Section 9(1)(3)(B) of the Control of Narcotic Substances Act.

Police said further investigations are continuing to determine whether the suspects are linked to wider criminal or narcotics networks.

The information is based on a statement issued by the Hyderabad District Police spokesperson. The allegations against the suspects remain subject to investigation and judicial proceedings.
