KARACHI, August 2: Voting for the Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) elections is continuing peacefully at three polling stations established in Keamari District, Karachi, under comprehensive security arrangements.

According to a spokesperson for Keamari Police, three polling stations have been set up at Jackson Market, Keamari, and Jeddah Hazara Colony, Baldia Town, where 409 registered voters are exercising their constitutional right to vote.

The polling process has remained peaceful, with no untoward incidents reported.

Security arrangements are being supervised by the Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Keamari, who has overseen the deployment of more than 100 police officers and personnel at the polling stations to ensure the safety of voters and election staff.

In addition to the personnel deployed at polling stations, Quick Response Teams (QRTs) and reserve police staff have been placed on high alert to respond promptly to any emergency situation.

Police officials said the enhanced security measures are aimed at maintaining law and order and ensuring that the electoral process is conducted in a peaceful, secure, and transparent environment.

Keamari Police reiterated their commitment to safeguarding the democratic process and facilitating voters throughout polling day under strict security arrangements.
