SUKKUR (Special Reporter): As part of its annual Milad Rabita Campaign, the Milad Mustafa Committee held a coordination meeting with scholars and representatives of Tanzeem Al-Saeed, Jamia Anwar-e-Mustafai, and Bazm Rafiq-e-Millat Mustafaiya at Rafiq-e-Millat Mosque, Barrage Colony, to discuss preparations for Eid Milad-un-Nabi celebrations.
The meeting was chaired by Milad Mustafa Committee Founder Chairman Ghiyasuddin Qadri and focused on coordinating religious gatherings, processions, rallies, flag-hoisting ceremonies, Naat events, and other activities planned for the month of Rabi-ul-Awwal.
Among those attending were Sahibzada Muhammad Rafiq Mustafai, founder of Jamia Anwar-e-Mustafai; Mufti Ghulam Muhammad Saeedi, Sheikh-ul-Hadith of the institution; Allama Prof. Mir Muhammad Qureshi, President of the Milad Mustafa Committee (New Sukkur Taluka); Allama Muhammad Azam Saeedi, President of Tanzeem Al-Saeed Sukkur; Haji Shakeel Ahmed Siddiqui, Central Secretary General of the committee; former Jamaat Ahl-e-Sunnat Sukkur Ameer Qazi Inayatullah; and several other religious scholars and community leaders.
Addressing the gathering, Sahibzada Muhammad Asif Rafiq Mustafai praised the committee’s annual coordination campaign, saying it strengthens communication among religious organizations and facilitates the smooth organization of Milad events. He also commended Ghiyasuddin Qadri for his four decades of service in promoting religious harmony and organizing Milad celebrations.
Mufti Ghulam Muhammad Saeedi said that since arriving in Sukkur, he had consistently found the Milad Mustafa Committee to be an organized, active, and dedicated body. He remarked that even after 40 years, the committee’s leadership and volunteers continue to demonstrate the same devotion and enthusiasm for commemorating the life of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him).
Speaking on the occasion, Allama Prof. Mir Muhammad Qureshi Hashmi said the committee organizes one of the largest numbers of flag-hoisting ceremonies across the city every year to welcome Rabi-ul-Awwal. He added that the committee’s central reception camp and its annual gathering at Ghanta Ghar have become hallmark events of the Eid Milad-un-Nabi celebrations in Sukkur.
Allama Muhammad Azam Saeedi expressed his commitment to celebrating Eid Milad-un-Nabi with unity and thorough preparations, while Haji Shakeel Ahmed Siddiqui highlighted the committee’s religious and social contributions over the past four decades. He noted that the committee has maintained discipline and orderly conduct at its events, attributing this success to the leadership and policies of Founder Chairman Ghiyasuddin Qadri.
Committee Vice President Allama Naseer Ahmed Sheikh assured participants that all annual programs would be organized with full enthusiasm and proper arrangements.
At the conclusion of the meeting, it was agreed that the Milad Mustafa Committee, Tanzeem Al-Saeed, Jamia Anwar-e-Mustafai, and Bazm Rafiq-e-Millat Mustafaiya would work together through mutual consultation and cooperation to organize Eid Milad-un-Nabi events across Sukkur.
