SUKKUR (Staff Reporter): Deputy Ameer of Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan Liaqat Baloch met with Khair Muhammad Tunio, a leader of Alkhidmat Foundation and Central Secretary of the Pakistan Railways Prem Union (CBA), during his visit to Sindh.
The meeting took place in Sukkur and was attended by Jamaat-e-Islami Sindh Deputy Ameer Nasrullah Channa, Jamaat-e-Islami Sukkur leaders Hizbullah Jhakar and Sultan Ahmed Lashari, along with other party representatives.
During the meeting, the participants held detailed discussions on a range of issues concerning Pakistan Railways, including the proposed privatization of the railway sector, workers’ welfare, employees’ rights, institutional reforms, and other operational challenges facing the national organization.
The participants emphasized the importance of safeguarding the rights of railway employees under all circumstances and stressed the need for collective efforts to strengthen Pakistan Railways as a vital national institution.
They also highlighted the significance of constructive dialogue and mutual cooperation in addressing labor issues, ensuring justice for railway workers, and improving the performance and sustainability of the country’s railway system.
The meeting concluded with a shared commitment to continue consultation and cooperation on matters related to the welfare of railway employees and the development of Pakistan Railways.
