Karachi: The Sindh School Education and Literacy Department has directed all government and private schools across the province to operate six days a week from August 1, according to an official notification.
The notification states that all public and private educational institutions in Sindh will resume their regular schedule from August 1, with classes being held Monday through Saturday.
Under the new directive, schools across the province will remain open six days a week, replacing the previous schedule where applicable.
The Education Department said the instructions apply to both government and private educational institutions throughout Sindh and are effective immediately from the start of August.
School administrations have been directed to ensure compliance with the notification and conduct regular academic activities according to the revised weekly schedule.
The move is intended to standardize the academic calendar and ensure the continuation of classroom teaching across educational institutions in the province. Further operational details, if required, will be communicated by the relevant education authorities through official channels.
