HYDERABAD: Bhai Khan Welfare Association has announced plans to celebrate Pakistan’s Independence Day with great enthusiasm and patriotic spirit, reaffirming its commitment to marking the national occasion through a series of community events.

The announcement was made during a meeting convened to review preparations for this year’s Independence Day celebrations. The meeting was chaired by Patron Haji Muhammad Ashraf Abbasi, who said that vibrant nations celebrate their Independence Day with pride, unity, and national spirit.

The meeting was attended by Founder and General Secretary Haji Muhammad Yaseen Arain, President Abdul Latif Sheikh, Senior Vice President Khan Aftab Ahmed Khan, Vice President Shahid Rajput, Second Vice President Haji Muhammad Ismail Sheikh, Latifabad Taluka Chairman Haji Abdul Hamid Mitho, Joint Secretary Muhammad Ismail Sheikh, Malik Farhat Abbas, Muhammad Hanif Sheikh, Nabeel Khan, Shaukeen, and other members of the association.

To ensure smooth and well-organised celebrations, the association constituted a three-member working committee comprising Khan Aftab Ahmed Khan, Shahid Rajput, and Haji Muhammad Ismail Sheikh. The committee has been assigned the responsibility of supervising and coordinating all arrangements for the Independence Day events.

Briefing the participants, Haji Muhammad Yaseen Arain said the association has planned a variety of programmes to celebrate Pakistan’s 79th Independence Day. The activities will include an Inter-Club Independence Day Championship, a cake-cutting ceremony, a national flag-hoisting ceremony, and the distribution of sweets among participants and members of the community.

He further announced that a major Independence Day programme would also be organised on 14 August at Gujarati Pahari in Latifabad Taluka, where citizens, community leaders, and members of the welfare association are expected to participate in large numbers.

Haji Yaseen Arain said preparations for the celebrations are progressing steadily, adding that the association aims to organise meaningful events that promote patriotism, unity, and national harmony while encouraging community participation in commemorating Pakistan’s Independence Day.
