SUKKUR: Sukkur Police arrested two wanted suspects and recovered illegal weapons during a targeted operation in the jurisdiction of Saleh Pat Police Station as part of an ongoing campaign against criminal elements across the district.
According to police, the operation was conducted on the directives of Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Sukkur Azhar Khan. SHO Saleh Pat Zulfiqar Chachar, along with his team, apprehended two active suspects identified as Muhammad Ali Shanbhani and Ahmed Ali Shanbhani.
Police recovered two TT pistols and a large quantity of ammunition from the suspects. The seized weapons were taken into custody, and legal proceedings were initiated.
Authorities stated that both suspects were already wanted in FIR No. 95/2026 registered at Saleh Pat Police Station under Sections 353 and 324 of the Pakistan Penal Code. Separate cases have also been registered against them under the Sindh Arms Act for possessing illegal firearms.
Police said further investigations are underway to obtain additional information from the suspects, including details about their possible accomplices and involvement in other criminal activities.
SSP Sukkur Azhar Khan praised SHO Saleh Pat and his team for the successful operation, commending their professionalism and dedication. He reiterated that police operations against criminals would continue without discrimination to ensure law and order and maintain peace across the district.
