Three Alleged Motorcycle Lifters Arrested in Matiari, Five Stolen Bikes Recovered

Matiari: Police have arrested three suspected members of an inter-district motorcycle theft gang and recovered five allegedly stolen motorcycles along with weapons during an operation carried out by the CIA Police Matiari, according to an official police statement.

The operation was conducted on the directives of Hyderabad Range DIG Tariq Razzaq Jan Dharejo and SSP Matiari Abdul Aleem Baloch.

According to police, a CIA team led by DSP Muhammad Rahim Chandio and CIA In-charge Nooruddin Mallah acted on confidential information while patrolling near Musafirkhana Link Road, Village Noor Khan Waghio.

Police said the suspects allegedly opened fire on the raiding party with the intention of resisting arrest. Officers returned fire and arrested three suspects, while two others managed to escape.

The arrested suspects were identified as:

  • Aurangzeb alias Zohaib, son of Abdul Hameed Khaskheli, allegedly found with an unlicensed pistol.
  • Fayyaz Ali, son of Muhammad Yousuf Khaskheli, allegedly found carrying an axe.
  • Zohaib alias Zaib Hassan, son of Hussain Zaib Chand, allegedly found carrying an axe.

The two suspects who escaped were identified by police as Bali Machhi and Ali Sher Majeedano.

Police said they recovered one unlicensed pistol, two axes, and five motorcycles that were allegedly stolen or snatched in separate incidents.

During preliminary interrogation, the arrested suspects allegedly confessed to involvement, along with other accomplices, in several motorcycle theft and snatching cases within different police station jurisdictions across Matiari District.

Police have registered cases against the suspects under:

  • FIR No. 142/26 under Sections 324, 353 and 34 of the Pakistan Penal Code (PPC) at Matiari Police Station.
  • FIR No. 143/26 under Section 25 of the Sindh Arms Act, 2013, at Matiari Police Station.

According to Matiari Police, further investigation is underway, and efforts are continuing to arrest the remaining suspects and other alleged members of the gang.
