MASTUNG: Session Judge Abdul Hakeem Kakar and his security guard were killed after unidentified assailants opened fire on their vehicle in the Wali Khan area of Mastung district, police said.

According to District Police Officer (DPO) Allah Bakhsh Baloch, the attack also left Additional Session Judge Tariq Lashari and another individual seriously injured.

The DPO said the judges were traveling from Quetta to the Sessions Court in Mastung when their vehicle came under attack by unidentified gunmen.

Following the incident, security forces cordoned off the area and launched a search operation to apprehend those responsible.

Police have not yet determined the motive behind the attack, and no group has claimed responsibility.

Authorities said an investigation is underway, while the injured were shifted to a nearby medical facility for treatment. Security has also been tightened in the area as law enforcement agencies continue efforts to trace the attackers.
