SUKKUR: Syed Ikhtiar Ali Shah, a member of the custodial family of Dargah Hazrat Anbah and son of the late Syed Wilayat Ali Shah, has alleged that his inherited property has been illegally occupied by relatives and appealed to the authorities for protection and justice.

Addressing a press conference at the Sukkur National Press Club (Registered), Syed Ikhtiar Ali Shah claimed that his cousins — Syed Jan Muhammad Shah, Syed Kamil Ali Shah, Syed Taj Muhammad Shah, and Syed Haq Maujood Shah — had unlawfully occupied property left by his late father, depriving him of his lawful inheritance.

He stated that despite being the legal heir of Syed Wilayat Ali Shah, he had not been given his rightful share in the family estate.

Syed Ikhtiar Ali Shah further alleged that influential individuals had occupied several ancestral properties across Sindh, including the historic Baba Sain’s four havelis and other assets.

According to him, he had attempted to resolve the dispute amicably by approaching Sardar Ali Nawaz Khan Ghoto, but the opposing party was unwilling to engage in dialogue.

He claimed that the alleged occupation of the properties had continued for several years and that he had received threats whenever he demanded his legal rights.

Appealing to the authorities, Syed Ikhtiar Ali Shah urged the DIG Sukkur and SSP Sukkur to take notice of the matter, provide him with security, remove the alleged illegal encroachments, and ensure that he receives his lawful share in the inherited property.

The allegations have been made by Syed Ikhtiar Ali Shah, and no response from the individuals named in the press conference was included at the time of reporting.
