LAHORE: Punjab Information Minister Azma Bukhari has strongly criticized Noorine Niazi, the sister of former Prime Minister and PTI founder Imran Khan, over her recent controversial remarks regarding Pakistan’s military and the operation referred to as “Maarka-e-Haq.”

In a statement, Bukhari said that Noorine Niazi’s comments reflected the thinking of her brother and alleged that the family was troubled by Pakistan’s achievements.

She further stated that the international community had acknowledged Pakistan’s success in what she described as “Maarka-e-Haq”, and called Noorine Niazi’s remarks regarding Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi “shameful” and “condemnable.”

The statement represents the views of the Punjab information minister. Noorine Niazi has publicly made the remarks that prompted the criticism, while Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has not issued an immediate official response to Azma Bukhari’s latest comments.

The exchange is part of an ongoing political dispute, with both sides presenting sharply differing positions.
