Indian media has confirmed that popular actors Vijay Deverakonda and Rashmika Mandanna have officially gotten engaged.
The two stars have long been rumored to be in a relationship, with frequent speculation about their engagement surfacing over the years. However, until now, neither had confirmed the news.
According to reports, Vijay Deverakonda’s team confirmed on Saturday that the couple exchanged rings. The engagement ceremony took place on October 3 in Hyderabad at Vijay’s residence, in a private gathering attended only by close family members.
While the couple has yet to release official photos or statements, sources indicate that their wedding is likely to be held in February next year.
Vijay and Rashmika first sparked rumors of romance in 2018 after starring together in the hit romantic film Geetha Govindam. At the time, Rashmika was engaged to fellow actor Rakshit Shetty, but their engagement ended just a month after the film’s release.
Since then, Vijay and Rashmika have been spotted together on several occasions, fueling speculation about their bond. Their official engagement now puts an end to years of rumors, making them one of the most talked-about couples in the Indian film industry today.
