TANDO JAM: A certificate distribution ceremony was held at the seminar hall of the Directorate General of Agriculture Research Sindh in Tando Jam to honor students from the Department of Botany at the University of Jamshoro who successfully completed their internship at the Sugarcane Research Institute.
The event was attended by a large number of agricultural research officials, scientists, and students. During the ceremony, Director of Sugarcane Research Dr. Nahaluddin Mari and Senior Scientist Wajid Ali Hesbani presented certificates to the interns in recognition of their successful completion of the training program.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Nahaluddin Mari emphasized that equipping young people with modern scientific research skills, practical training, and field experience is essential for the advancement of the agricultural sector. He said that internship programs not only strengthen students’ theoretical knowledge but also provide them with valuable hands-on experience in agricultural research, crop improvement, modern farming techniques, and scientific innovation.
Senior Scientist Wajid Ali Hesbani stated that the Sugarcane Research Department has always remained committed to mentoring, training, and developing the capabilities of young researchers so they can make meaningful contributions to agricultural research in the future.
He encouraged the students to utilize the knowledge, research skills, and practical experience gained during their internship to promote agricultural development, improve farmers’ livelihoods, and enhance crop productivity across the country.
