Bollywood’s Dabangg superstar Salman Khan recently made a candid revelation about his childhood, sharing how he was expelled from school during his early years. Appearing alongside Aamir Khan as the first guest on the new talk show Too Much with Kajol and Twinkle Khanna, Salman opened up about some little-known personal struggles from his childhood.
Expelled in Fourth Grade
During the conversation, Salman disclosed:
“Aamir and I actually studied in the same school, but back then we didn’t know each other. I was in the fourth grade when I was expelled.”
He narrated the incident that led to his trouble: while playing with a friend, the boy accidentally slipped because of Salman’s movement and broke his tooth. The school administration blamed Salman, considering it intentional misbehavior, which eventually got him into serious trouble.
Fee Issues Became a Bigger Challenge
Salman also recalled another humiliating moment from the same period:
“One day I was punished and made to stand outside the classroom. My father, Salim Khan, came to the school and asked the teacher what I had done. The teacher replied, ‘Mr. Khan, it’s not your son’s mistake—it’s yours, because you haven’t paid the fees.’”
Salman said his father somehow managed to gather the money and clear the dues, but only two weeks later, the family again failed to pay the fees, and he was expelled from school.
Aamir Khan Had Similar Experiences
Adding to the discussion, Aamir Khan revealed that he too faced similar struggles. His parents often found it difficult to pay his school fees on time, which left him embarrassed in front of classmates.
“My name used to be announced during the school assembly for non-payment of fees. It was very humiliating,” Aamir confessed.
A Glimpse into the Struggles of Superstars
The heart-to-heart exchange between Salman and Aamir showed a lesser-known side of Bollywood’s biggest stars. Despite their glamorous careers and extraordinary fame today, both superstars faced challenges in their early lives, including financial hardships and school-related embarrassments.
Their stories reflect that even the most successful figures often come from humble beginnings and difficult circumstances—making their rise to superstardom all the more inspiring.
