President Asif Ali Zardari has expressed profound grief and sorrow over the passing of former Member of the National Assembly and senior Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) leader Fauzia Habib.
In a statement released on Saturday, President Zardari paid rich tribute to the services of late Fauzia Habib to the party and the country.
Fauzia Habib’s invaluable services to democracy, public service, and the Pakistan People’s Party are remarkable, President Zardari said and prayed for the elevation in status of the late Fauzia Habib and patience for her family.
The passing of Fauzia Habib is an irreparable loss for the Pakistan People’s Party, Zardari said.
Late Fauzia Habib had also served as a member of the President’s House staff during Zardari’s first term in office (2008 to 2013).
