Veteran Pakistani actor Faisal Rehman, aged 59, has shared candid insights into his personal life, explaining why he chose never to marry and why he remains grateful for that decision as time goes by.
In a recent interview, the seasoned actor was asked about his career, personal experiences, and especially his decision to remain single. Unlike many celebrities who face constant questions about their marital status, Faisal responded with a unique perspective.
Why Faisal Rehman Chose Not to Marry
When asked why he never married, Faisal Rehman explained that although the media often spares other unmarried actors from constant questioning, he is regularly asked about his decision. Many assume he must have experienced love affairs, but he clarified otherwise.
“People think I have been in love, but the truth is I never fell in love. I have always loved myself,” he said with a smile.
The actor elaborated that his life has been centered around freedom and independence. He emphasized that attachments—whether to clothes, pets, or even other people—are difficult for him to maintain. “I never liked attachments; for me, it is a burden I don’t want to carry,” he remarked.
Grateful for a Free Life
Faisal Rehman reflected on how his single lifestyle has allowed him to live life on his own terms. “Over time, I have become grateful that I never married. Today, if I feel like traveling, I just pick up my bag and go. My married friends cannot do that. They look at me with longing eyes, wishing they had the same freedom. I am still independent in every decision of my life, and I have no desire to change that by marrying now,” he said.
His remarks highlighted the contrast he observes between his own lifestyle and that of his married friends, many of whom he believes feel tied down by family responsibilities.
The Famous Dimple Debate
During the same interview, Faisal Rehman also spoke humorously about his well-known facial dimples. When asked whether his dimple is as popular as actress Hania Aamir’s, he confidently declared:
“My dimple is more famous than Hania Aamir’s. She is new to the industry, but I have been around much longer. I have a strong fan following, including many female admirers. In the past, I even received letters written in blood from fans.”
He clarified, however, that his dimple was not the result of cosmetic surgery. “This dimple is a gift from God. My right cheek’s dimple is more prominent, but when I gain weight, the other one also becomes visible.”
