Market Police Arrest Two Wanted Drug Dealers in Hyderabad, Recover 4 Kilograms of Hashish

Hyderabad, June 22, 2026: Acting on the directives of DIG Hyderabad Range and SSP Hyderabad Shahzeb Chachar, Market Police carried out a successful operation and arrested two notorious suspects allegedly involved in drug trafficking, anti-terrorism cases, and other serious crimes.

According to a press release issued by the District Police Hyderabad spokesperson, SHO Market Inspector Niaz Muhammad Khoso and his team conducted a raid based on confidential information near a private wedding hall in the Kali Mori area.

During the operation, police arrested two alleged drug dealers:

  • Muhammad Rehan Qureshi
  • Khalid Rajput

Four Kilograms of Hashish Recovered

Police officials stated that a total of 4 kilograms of hashish (charas) was recovered from the possession of the suspects.

Alleged Involvement in Multiple Criminal Cases

According to preliminary investigations, the arrested individuals were allegedly involved in:

  • Drug trafficking
  • Supply of Mainpuri gutka
  • Attacks on police personnel
  • Other serious criminal offenses

Police further stated that the suspects were absconding in cases registered within the jurisdiction of Pinyari Police Station, including anti-terrorism and police encounter cases, and had been on the list of wanted individuals.

Further Investigation Underway

Authorities are currently examining the suspects’ criminal history and gathering additional information regarding their alleged activities and possible associates.

Police officials said further investigations are ongoing to determine the full extent of the suspects’ involvement in organized criminal networks.

Case Registered Under Narcotics Laws

Following the arrests, Market Police registered a case against the suspects under the Control of Narcotic Substances (CNS) Act.

The case has been registered as:

  • Crime No. 209/2026
  • Section 9(1) 3(C) CNS

Police stated that legal proceedings have been initiated and the accused will be produced before the relevant court in accordance with the law.

The Hyderabad Police reiterated their commitment to continuing operations against drug traffickers and other criminal elements in order to maintain law and order and ensure public safety across the district.
