Kabirwala: At least three people, including a woman and a two-year-old child, were killed in a tragic road accident after a bus collided with a motorcycle in Kabirwala, Rescue officials said.

According to Rescue 1122 authorities, the accident occurred on Khanewal Road when a speeding bus struck a motorcycle carrying multiple passengers.

Officials confirmed that all three motorcycle riders—a man, a woman, and a two-year-old girl—died on the spot due to the severity of the impact.

Rescue teams immediately reached the scene after being alerted and shifted the bodies to a nearby hospital for necessary legal formalities.

Eyewitnesses reported that the collision was extremely violent, causing panic in the surrounding area. Traffic on the road was temporarily suspended as rescue and police teams worked to clear the site and restore normal flow.

Police have launched an investigation into the incident to determine the exact cause of the crash and whether negligence or over-speeding was involved. Preliminary reports suggest that reckless driving may have contributed to the accident, although officials have not yet confirmed responsibility.

Road accidents remain a serious concern in various parts of Punjab, often resulting from over-speeding, poor road discipline, and inadequate traffic law enforcement. Authorities regularly urge drivers to follow traffic rules and exercise caution, especially on busy highways and intercity roads.

The tragic deaths of a woman and a young child have particularly shocked local residents, who expressed grief over the loss of innocent lives in the accident.

Officials said further legal proceedings are underway, and the bodies will be handed over to the families after completion of formal procedures.
