KHIPRO / KHAIRPUR, June 11, 2026: Commissioner Sukkur Division Abid Saleem Qureshi conducted an emergency visit to GIMS Hospital Gambat following complaints regarding the treatment of a burn-injured girl, Sharma daughter of Hazaro Khan Mahar, a resident of Khanpur Mahar.

Immediate Action on Complaints

According to the Deputy Director Information Office Khairpur, the commissioner took immediate notice of the complaints and reached the hospital to review the medical care being provided to the patient.

During the visit, he was accompanied by GIMS Director Dr. Rahim Bakhsh Bhatti and a team of senior medical specialists.

Visit to Burn Ward and Patient Interaction

The commissioner visited the burn ward and inquired about the condition of the patient. He reviewed the quality of treatment and medical facilities being provided at the hospital.

He also met with the patient’s family and gathered detailed information regarding the circumstances of the incident and subsequent treatment process.

Family Expresses Satisfaction

The patient’s relatives informed the commissioner that the girl had suffered severe injuries in a fire incident last Friday and was immediately shifted to GIMS Hospital Gambat.

They said that her condition was critical in the early days as she was unable to speak or take food. However, due to continuous care and effective treatment by doctors and medical staff, her condition has now shown significant improvement.

The family added that the patient is now able to speak and take nourishment, and her treatment is progressing satisfactorily.

They also expressed satisfaction with the medical care and stated that they wish to continue her treatment at GIMS Hospital.

Commissioner’s Directives

Commissioner Sukkur instructed doctors and hospital administration to ensure the provision of the best possible medical care to all patients, including the burn victim.
