Electricity has been unavailable for the past three days in Ayub Gate Sheikh Mohalla, an area of Sukkur, causing serious difficulties for residents. Due to the intense heat, the lack of electricity has brought daily life to a standstill, while children, the elderly, and patients are facing extreme hardship.

Residents say they have tried multiple times to contact SEPCO officials and relevant staff, but the issue has not yet been resolved. Citizens also complained that elected representatives and political figures are not answering calls or showing any interest in addressing public problems.

They further stated that in such extreme weather conditions—where temperatures in Sukkur have exceeded 47°C—the risk of heatstroke has significantly increased. In this situation, prolonged power outages are nothing short of cruelty.

According to residents, the UC chairman and other representatives are limited to photo sessions and are not taking any serious steps to resolve public issues. The locals have appealed to higher authorities to take immediate notice of the situation and restore electricity to Ayub Gate Sheikh Mohalla as soon as possible to relieve the suffering of the people.
