Karachi (District Keamari Police) – Maari Pur Police carried out timely action and arrested a suspect involved in a firing incident, police said in an official statement issued on June 8, 2026.
According to police spokesperson, the arrested accused has been identified as Ghulam Rasool. A licensed 9mm pistol used in the firing was recovered from his possession.
Police also recovered nine spent bullet casings from the scene of the incident. Officials stated that the suspect had allegedly opened aerial fire during a private gathering held at a plot in Jمالي Goth, Hawks Bay.
Following the incident, Maari Pur Police registered a case against the accused under Section 337-H(II)/324 of the Pakistan Penal Code along with Section 25 of the Sindh Arms Act.
Police officials confirmed that further investigation is underway to determine the circumstances and motive behind the firing incident.
