KARACHI: The Karachi Traffic Police has launched a new enforcement initiative under which motorists violating lane discipline on Shahrah-e-Faisal will receive electronic challans (e-challans) starting today.
The move is part of broader efforts to improve traffic management, reduce congestion, and enhance road safety on one of the city’s busiest and most important thoroughfares.
According to a spokesperson for the Traffic Police, the e-challan system will initially be implemented only on Shahrah-e-Faisal. However, authorities plan to gradually expand the program to other major roads and highways across Karachi in the future.
