KUNB (Khairpur): A local businessman, Nazeer Ali Ajan, has protested against what he describes as the illegal occupation of his legally purchased plot and has appealed to senior government officials to take immediate notice of the matter and ensure justice.

Speaking to the media, Nazeer Ali Ajan, a resident of Village Allan Khan Ajan and a well-known businessman in the area, stated that he had purchased a 1,633-square-foot plot approximately six years ago from Muhammad Aslam, son of Rustam Tamrani, near the National Highway in Kunb town. He said that he possesses all the legal ownership documents, including the relevant land records and account details, proving his ownership of the property.

According to Ajan, the plot was legally registered in his name and was significant enough to be used as collateral for obtaining a bank loan. He maintained that all documentation regarding the property is complete and available for verification.

However, he alleged that a few days ago, influential members of the Tamrani community, including Ghulam Sarwar Tamrani and Rab Nawaz Tamrani, forcibly occupied the plot. He claimed that the individuals arrived at the site with armed men, removed the boundary markers that had been installed on the property, and stationed armed persons there to maintain control over the land.

Nazeer Ali Ajan further stated that he had reported the incident to the relevant police station and that a formal complaint, including a non-cognizable report (NCR/NC), had been registered. Despite this, he alleged that law enforcement authorities have so far failed to take effective action to remove the alleged encroachment or restore possession of the land.

He said that in an effort to resolve the dispute peacefully, he approached respected elders and influential members of the community to mediate the matter. However, according to him, the individuals occupying the land have shown no willingness to participate in discussions, arbitration, or reconciliation efforts.

Ajan also claimed that the opposing party consists of influential individuals who, he alleged, use pressure tactics to silence those who challenge them. He said he has been subjected to various forms of intimidation and harassment since raising the issue publicly.

Expressing concern over his safety, he stated that he fears for the security of both himself and his family. “I am a businessman and a law-abiding citizen. Under the current circumstances, I have serious concerns regarding the protection of my life, property, and family,” he said.

He appealed to elected representatives and senior officials, including Member of Provincial Assembly (MPA) Manzoor Hussain Wassan, Member of National Assembly (MNA) Halar Wassan, MNA Nafisa Shah, and SSP Khairpur Mir’s, urging them to intervene and ensure an impartial investigation into the dispute.

Nazeer Ali Ajan demanded that authorities conduct a transparent inquiry into the ownership and occupation of the plot, remove any unlawful encroachment if established, and provide him with adequate security and legal protection.

The allegations made by Ajan have not yet been independently verified, and no public response from the individuals named in the complaint was immediately available. Authorities have also not issued an official statement regarding the status of the investigation.

The incident highlights ongoing concerns over land disputes and alleged encroachments in various parts of Sindh, where property conflicts often result in prolonged legal battles and demands for stronger enforcement of land ownership laws. As the matter develops, local residents are looking to authorities to ensure that the dispute is resolved through legal and transparent means.
