Tehran: Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei has stated that the United States will no longer find a “safe haven” for establishing military bases in the region, as he issued strong remarks on regional security and geopolitical tensions.

In a message issued on the occasion of Hajj, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei said that Iran has delivered a strong response to what he described as “American aggression,” claiming that Washington’s objectives in the region have been effectively defeated.

“The weapon of ‘Allahu Akbar’ has given strength and power to the Iranian nation,” he said, adding that the future belongs to the Islamic Ummah and the emergence of a new Islamic civilization.

The Iranian Supreme Leader also claimed that the “fragile Zionist regime” is approaching the final stages of its existence, reflecting Iran’s long-standing critical stance toward Israel.

He further stated that regional nations would no longer serve as a shield for American military bases, asserting that the United States would not be able to find safe locations in the region to establish or maintain military presence for what he described as destabilizing activities.

According to Ayatollah Khamenei, Iran has dealt a “strong blow” to the United States and thwarted its strategic objectives in the region. He emphasized that regional countries and populations would no longer facilitate or protect foreign military installations.

The remarks come amid ongoing geopolitical tensions in the Middle East, where competing regional powers continue to influence security dynamics, military alignments, and diplomatic relations.

Iran has repeatedly opposed the presence of US military bases in neighboring countries, viewing them as a source of instability and foreign interference in regional affairs. On the other hand, the United States maintains that its military presence in the region is aimed at ensuring security, protecting allies, and countering threats.

Analysts note that such statements from Iran’s leadership often reflect broader strategic messaging aimed at domestic audiences as well as regional allies, particularly amid heightened tensions involving Israel, the United States, and other regional actors.

The comments also come at a time when the Middle East remains politically sensitive, with multiple conflicts, diplomatic negotiations, and security concerns shaping the regional landscape.

Observers believe that rhetoric from both sides continues to reflect deep divisions over military presence, sovereignty, and regional influence, which have remained unresolved for decades.
