PTI Chief Barrister Gohar Ali Khan on Tuesday called for meaningful talks to end political polarization in the country.
Speaking to media persons at Peshawar High Court, he said political tension must not be stretched anymore and all stakeholders come across to the table and devise a joint strategy to steer the country out of current quagmire. “Our demand was one meeting with party founder Imran Khan and his proper treatment,” he added.
Barrister Gohar called for immediate halt to political vengeance and demanded immediate release of KP Chief Minister, and other detained lawmakers especially Imran Khan’s sisters.
PTI Chief flayed imposition of Governor’s rule in KP, calling it unconstitutional and undemocratic.
Rejecting the claim of party leader Barrister Muhammed Ali Asif, stated that PTI made every possible effort through courts and negotiations to secure a meeting with incarcerated founder which was never granted
He welcomed the decision of Peshawar High Court for sending the matter to larger bench and hoped such decisions would be on merit.
