An artillery shell weighing approximately 15 kilograms, reportedly of Indian origin, was recovered from Mauza Bari Minhasan in Shakargarh, prompting an immediate response from the Civil Defence Bomb Disposal Squad.
According to initial reports, authorities were alerted after the suspected explosive device was discovered in the area.
Following the information, a Civil Defence Bomb Disposal Squad team launched an operation to secure the artillery shell and prevent any potential danger.
The bomb disposal personnel took the 15kg shell and associated explosive material into safe custody.
The operation was carried out as a precautionary measure to ensure the safety of residents and prevent any possible incident involving the explosive device.
The recovered artillery shell was reported to be Indian-made, although further details regarding its origin and how it reached the area were not immediately available.
Authorities have not yet provided information about the condition or age of the recovered shell or whether it had remained buried in the area before its discovery.
