A young girl, Jannat Fatima, has died after allegedly being given an incorrect injection at a private clinic in the Morgah area of Rawalpindi.

Police have registered a case on the complaint of the girl’s uncle, Tauqeer Ahmed, accusing Dr Younis who was working at the private clinic, of administering the wrong injection.

According to the complaint, the girl was taken to Dr Younis’s clinic after falling ill. After receiving an injection, she reportedly developed severe symptoms, including foaming at the mouth, collapsed, and her skin turned dark.

The complaint further stated that the doctor advised the family to shift the girl to another hospital. She was subsequently taken to Benazir Bhutto Hospital, where she could not survive.

The girl’s uncle alleged that the doctor’s provision of the injection had caused her death. Police have registered the case and named the doctor in connection with the incident.
