Interior Minister Syed Mohsin Naqvi met with PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari at the Parliament House on Thursday.

The country’s political situation came under discussion at the meeting.

The meeting took place hours after a joint session of the parliament passed a resolution, approving the imposition of governor’s rule in KP.

The joint session was called a day after both Senate and the National Assembly in separate sittings had passed resolutions endorsing the imposition of emergency in KP.

During the joint session, opposition members turned up, carrying placards in their hands, inscribed with slogans, such as “Emergency na manzoor (emergency is unacceptable)”.

Parliamentary Affairs Minister Tariq Fazal Chaudhry tabled the resolution.
