Imran Khan’s cousin detained near Adiala Jail

Police in Rawalpindi on Tuesday took former prime minister and PTI founder Imran Khan’s cousin, Qasim Zaman, who had come to meet him at Adiala Jail, into custody and shifted him to a checkpoint near the jail.

Zaman was taken into custody from Gorakhpur checkpoint. 

On Monday, Awais Younus Chaudhry Advocate had handed the jail officials a list of six lawyers who wished to meet the former prime minister today on Tuesday.  

The list contained the names of Barrister Gohar Ali Khan, Salman Akram Raja, Khalid Yousaf Chaudhry Advocate, Syed Ali Bukhari Advocate, Riaz Hussain Shah, and Naheed Saif Advocate.

However, Imran’s sisters, who are presently detained, will not appear. 

PTI founder’s cousin Qasim Zaman and other family members are also expected to visit the jail to meet him.

Members of Bushra Bibi’s family will also come to meet her.
