A journalist from Khanpur Mahar has reportedly been abducted, prompting fellow journalists to stage a protest on the national highway and demand his immediate recovery.
The missing journalist has been identified as Azim Siyal. According to his family, he has been missing since last night and is believed to have been abducted.
Siyal’s vehicle was later found abandoned near Sidoja, within the limits of the Sukkur district. Police took the vehicle into custody and began investigating the circumstances surrounding his disappearance.
Following the incident, a large number of police personnel were called to the Sidoja area as efforts were made to trace the missing journalist.
In protest over Siyal’s disappearance, journalists from Ghotki staged a sit-in on the national highway. The protest caused long queues of vehicles and disrupted traffic between Sindh and Punjab.
The journalists demanded that the authorities take immediate steps to recover Siyal and ensure his safe return to his family.
