Veteran Pakistani actress Fazila Qazi has shared her views on relationships and advised women not to tell everything to their husbands, saying that men often keep things in their hearts and may bring them up later as reproach.
Speaking during a recent appearance on a private TV morning show, the experienced actress discussed family relationships, friendship, and marital dynamics. She said she considers her relationships with her brothers and sons as very strong friendships, and she is comfortable sharing most of her thoughts with them.
Fazila Qazi explained that since she does not have a daughter or sister, her closest family connections are her brothers, sons, and husband. According to her, she feels more at ease discussing personal matters with her brothers, as she can openly talk to them about almost everything.
However, she drew a clear distinction when it came to her husband. The actress said she avoids sharing every detail with her spouse because, in her experience, husbands tend to remember things and sometimes bring them up later during disagreements.
“Husbands keep things in their heart and may mention them again at the right moment as a reminder or complaint,” she said, adding that women should therefore be selective about what they share.
She also humorously remarked that “there is a woman inside husbands too” who may “wake up for revenge” in certain situations, explaining that this was based on her personal experience.
Fazila Qazi further said that she now prefers to discuss most matters with her brothers and sons instead of her husband. In her view, sharing every small detail with a husband is neither particularly beneficial nor necessary.
According to her, maintaining some privacy in communication within marriage can sometimes help avoid misunderstandings and unnecessary conflict. She emphasized that discretion in sharing personal matters can contribute to a smoother relationship.
Her comments sparked discussion on social media, where opinions were divided—some agreed with her perspective based on personal experiences, while others argued that trust and open communication are essential in a marriage.
Fazila Qazi, known for her long career in Pakistani television dramas, often shares candid views on family and social issues, which frequently generate public debate.
