In one of the key recoveries, authorities intercepted a truck in Muzaffargarh and recovered 2,700 kilograms of cigarette filter foam. The estimated value of the seized material alone is around Rs 175.5 million, according to FBR officials. The consignment was reportedly being transported without legal import documentation.

The seizure comprised 135 cartons of imported cigarettes and 505 sacks of poppy seeds, collectively worth millions of rupees.
The FBR stated that its anti-smuggling operations are ongoing across the country as part of efforts to curb illegal trade, prevent revenue loss, and strengthen the national economy. Officials emphasized that strict action will continue against individuals and networks involved in smuggling activities.
Authorities further added that intelligence-based operations are being intensified to identify smuggling routes and dismantle organized networks. The confiscated goods will be dealt with according to legal procedures following completion of investigations.
