A total of 23 passengers traveling to Bahrain on work visas were offloaded after failing to meet essential immigration requirements, according to the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA).
An FIA spokesperson stated that the passengers initially claimed they had secured employment through relatives. However, during detailed questioning, their statements were found to be misleading and inconsistent.
Further investigation revealed that the individuals had actually obtained jobs through agents. Authorities also noted that all passengers were booked on the same flight in a suspicious manner, raising additional concerns.
The spokesperson added that none of the passengers could clearly explain the nature of their jobs or provide relevant details. Most importantly, none of them possessed a valid foreign service agreement, a mandatory document for overseas employment.
