KARACHI: Sindh Police has issued a clarification regarding the shell casing recovered from the crime scene in the Mir Raza case.

According to police, the shell casing was sent to the Forensic Science Laboratory on August 7, while the forensic laboratory issued its report on August 10.

Police said the report had been part of the case file from the very beginning and was not added later.

According to the police statement, the forensic report was submitted to the Sindh High Court Commission along with the preliminary supplementary challan.

The report identified negligence on the part of the relevant arms dealer and also recommended that legal action be taken against those responsible, police said.

Sindh Police maintained that the forensic findings were already included in the investigation record and had been provided to the relevant authorities as part of the case proceedings.
