Farewell Ceremony Held in Honour of Additional Director Social Welfare Abdul Ghaffar Khoso

A dignified farewell ceremony was organized by the social organization LHDP on the occasion of the honourable retirement of Additional Director Social Welfare, Abdul Ghaffar Khoso. The event was attended by a large number of district administration officials, social leaders, and respected citizens.
Addressing the ceremony, Additional Director Social Welfare Abdul Ghaffar Khoso stated that appointments, transfers, and retirement are an integral part of government service. He shared that he spent 23 years of his life serving in the Social Welfare Department with honesty and dedication, during which he performed his duties in districts including Badin, Umerkot, and Hyderabad. He said that he has a special attachment to Badin and will always remember the love and respect he received from its people.
He further added that even after retirement, he would continue to guide and support social organizations whenever needed.
On this occasion, Additional Deputy Commissioner-I Kashif Raza Mangi said that Abdul Ghaffar Khoso always extended full cooperation to the district administration and stood at the forefront with his team during challenging times. He remarked that his services during rains, floods, and elections were highly commendable and would be remembered as exemplary.
District Information Officer Sarfraz Samoon said that institutions take pride in officers like him who are honest and dedicated. He added that retirement marks the beginning of a new phase of life, and expressed best wishes for his bright and prosperous future. He also said that sincere service is never forgotten and his name will always be remembered with respect.
Other speakers at the ceremony also praised Abdul Ghaffar Khoso’s professional abilities, integrity, and commitment to public service, stating that such officers are valuable assets to any institution.
At the conclusion of the ceremony, the chief guest Abdul Ghaffar Khoso was presented with the traditional Sindhi gift, Ajrak, along with other souvenirs, and best wishes were extended to him.
Among those present at the farewell ceremony were District Coordinator Mumtaz Program Syeda Rizwana Haneen Shah, Program Manager LHDP Sawaan Khaskheli, Assistant Director Child Protection Deen Muhammad Dero, District Manager HANDS Haider Panhwar, Education Focal Person Muhammad Khan Samoon, Executive Director LHDP Iqbal Haider Shidi, senior journalist Mubarak Mallah, PPHI Nutrition Focal Person Vijay Kumar Chauhan, Sobia Ansari, Sanam Abbasi, Ayaz Khoso, Sawan Junejo, Khadim Ansari, Zafar Khaskheli, and others.
