Naushahro Feroze: A married woman from village Sonharo Siyal staged a protest outside the press club in Naushahro Feroze, demanding the arrest of suspects allegedly involved in an attempt to abduct her.

The woman, Shagufta Kallo, held the protest along with her father, Shafi Muhammad Gadahi, and her brother.

Speaking to reporters, Shagufta said that she was previously married to Gehno Gadahi. According to her, her first husband divorced her and later passed away.

She said that after her first marriage ended, her family arranged her second marriage to Abdul Jabbar Kallo, considering her future and well-being.

Shagufta alleged that relatives of her former husband were unhappy with her second marriage. She claimed that they later tried to abduct her and also subjected her to violence.

She said that the suspects included Gulzar Gadahi, Farooq, Nadir, Azim Gadahi and two unidentified people.

According to Shagufta, an FIR was registered against the suspects after an inquiry was conducted on the orders of Naushahro Feroze SSP Rohal Khan Khoso.

However, she alleged that despite the registration of the case, the suspects had not yet been arrested.

Shagufta said that she is currently pregnant and expressed concern about her safety and the safety of her unborn child.

She said that her father had arranged her marriage and that relatives of her former husband were angry because she had married outside their family.

According to Shagufta, the suspects had also threatened to kill her if she did not withdraw the case.

She further claimed that an FIR had previously been registered against some of the same people. However, she said that she had forgiven them after they came to her with the Holy Quran and asked for forgiveness.

Shagufta said that despite giving them another chance, the alleged threats and pressure had continued.

During the protest, she appealed to SSP Naushahro Feroze Rohal Khan Khoso to take immediate action against the people named in the case.

She demanded that the suspects who were allegedly threatening her with serious consequences for refusing to withdraw the case should be arrested.

She also asked the police to provide her with protection and ensure justice.

Shagufta said that she was worried about her personal safety because of the alleged threats. She appealed to the authorities to take the matter seriously and prevent any further incident.

Her father and brother also joined her during the protest and supported her demand for police action.

The family wants the police to arrest the nominated suspects and investigate the allegations properly.

The case involves allegations of an attempted abduction, physical violence and threats. The claims made by the woman will need to be investigated by the relevant authorities.

The registration of an FIR means that a formal criminal case has been recorded, but the allegations still need to be established through a proper legal investigation.

Shagufta has called on the district police leadership to ensure that the investigation proceeds fairly and that she receives protection while the case is being investigated.

The protest outside the press club was aimed at drawing public and official attention to her concerns.

She said that she does not want to live under fear and wants the authorities to take effective action against those allegedly responsible for threatening and harassing her.

She also stressed that she is pregnant, making her situation more difficult and increasing her concerns about her safety.

The family has therefore requested immediate police protection and the arrest of the suspects named in the FIR.

The matter is now expected to remain under investigation
