HYDERABAD, September 6, 2026: A rally was organized at the Hyderabad Deputy Commissioner’s Office to mark Defence Day, on the directives of Deputy Commissioner Hyderabad Zain-ul-Abideen Memon.
The rally was led by Additional Deputy Commissioner-II Hyderabad Mehwish Buriro. Addressing the participants, she said the Pakistan Army had inflicted a memorable defeat on the enemy during the 1965 war, a chapter that would always be remembered.
She said September 6 is observed to honour the sacrifices of Pakistan’s armed forces and paid tribute to the martyrs who gave their lives for the country.
Mehwish Buriro said the sacrifices and services of the armed forces have enabled the people of Pakistan to live peacefully in an independent homeland.
Officials from various government departments, police personnel, Rescue 1122, representatives of social organizations and members of the public participated in the rally.
