Former finance minister Asad Umar has said that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan must be taken into confidence on the issue of new provinces in the country.

Talking to media men in Lahore on Saturday, Asad Umar said that a detailed and comprehensive discussion must be held in all the assemblies of the country.

The former federal minister said that “if our judicial system was on track, then Imran Khan must be provided some relief.”

He said that the concept of new provinces is incomplete without the inclusion of Imran Khan. Asad Umar said that the government keeps the PTI behind a wall.

He said that the Punjab government should immediately tender its resignation for its failure to fulfill promises.

Asad Umar advised the Punjab government to tender apology to the farmers and warned that if farmers and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf workers came to the streets, then it would be difficult for the government to resolve the issues.
