ISLAMABAD, Apr 03 (APP):Additional Inspector General Ashraf Zubair Siddiqui on Friday assumed charge as Regional Commander (North Region) of the National Highways and Motorway Police (NHMP), directing strict action against overloading in public service and heavy transport vehicles.
Upon assuming charge, he was briefed on operational and administrative matters, including ongoing initiatives and awareness campaigns being carried out by the force, said a press release.
Emphasizing professionalism and public service, Ashraf Zubair Siddiqui instructed officers to maintain high standards of discipline and ensure effective service delivery to road users.
The Regional Commander also ordered strict enforcement against overloading in public service vehicles (PSVs) and heavy transport vehicles.
A PSP officer, Ashraf Zubair Siddiqui has previously served in key roles in different Police setups including National Highways and Motorway Police as Deputy Inspector General (N-5 North Zone).
Upon arrival, he was received by senior NHMP officers.
