On March 29, 2026, a tragic incident occurred in Noorani Basti (katchi abadi), within the jurisdiction of Pinyari Police Station, where 17-year-old Uzair, son of Naeem Qureshi, was shot and killed with a repeater firearm by Hakim Abro.
On receiving information about the incident, SSP Hyderabad, Shahzeb Chachar, took immediate notice and directed DSP Phuleli Waqar Durani and SHO Pinyari Sub-Inspector Arsalan Sattar Solangi to register a case and ensure the arrest of the suspects.
Pinyari Police registered FIR No. 51/2026 under sections 302, 114, and 34 on the complaint of the victim’s brother, Umair Qureshi, and initiated an investigation.
Acting professionally, SHO Pinyari, along with SIO Inspector Sajjad Hussain Jatoi and the team, arrested three suspects involved in the crime: Shehbaz Abro, Abbas Abro, and Zeeshan Rao. Meanwhile, police raids are ongoing to arrest the main accused, Hakim Abro.
According to initial investigations, the arrested suspects had a dispute with the victim Uzair Qureshi over a matter, which led to a heated argument. Upon instigation by the arrested individuals, the main accused, Hakim Abro, opened fire with a repeater, injuring Uzair. He later succumbed to his injuries during treatment.
Further investigation is underway, and additional legal action is being taken.
