Commissioner Sukkur Division Abid Saleem Qureshi’s visit to Public Library, Football Stadium, and Players’ Hostel in Rohri

Special focus should be given to providing all necessary facilities for students at the library, Commissioner Sukkur directs library administration.

Sukkur (Handout): Commissioner Sukkur Division, Abid Saleem Qureshi, visited the Shabir Shah Public Library in Rohri to review the facilities available for students. On this occasion, the library administration informed the Commissioner Sukkur that about 200 to 250 students from Rohri and its surrounding areas benefit from the library on a daily basis. In addition, citizens of Rohri also visit the Shabir Shah Library for reading books, newspapers, and magazines. They further stated that previously, due to the lack of a library facility in Rohri, students here had to travel to the Government Mir Ma’soom Shah Library in Sukkur.

On this occasion, Commissioner Sukkur directed the library administration, stating that keeping in view the requirements of the modern educational curriculum, free internet Wi-Fi facility should be provided in the library for the convenience of students, along with increasing the number of existing computers. He instructed that special attention be paid to daily cleanliness at the library, while ensuring the provision of clean drinking water for all students. Commissioner Sukkur suggested to the library administration that, considering the students’ interest in studying, the operating hours could also be extended.

Subsequently, Commissioner Sukkur Division, Abid Saleem Qureshi, also visited the Football Stadium managed by the Sukkur Municipal Stadium and the Players’ Hostel managed by the Sports Department, reviewed the facilities, and obtained information from the relevant officers.#
