SUKKUR, August 30, 2026: Sukkur Police have continued their crackdown against criminal elements on the directives of SSP Sukkur Ahmed Chaudhry PSP, QPM, arresting a suspect and recovering an unlicensed pistol and ammunition from his possession.

According to a press release issued by Sukkur Police, the SHO of New Pind Police Station carried out a successful operation during snap checking within the limits of the police station.

During the operation, police arrested a suspect identified as Abdul Rauf Bhayo and recovered a TT pistol along with a magazine and bullets from his possession.

Police said the weapon was being carried without a valid licence.

A case has been registered against the arrested suspect under the Sindh Arms Act, while further investigation is currently under way.

The case has been registered as CR No. 144/2026 under Section 23(I)(A) of the Sindh Arms Act at New Pind Police Station.

SSP Sukkur Praises Police Team

Following the successful action, SSP Sukkur Ahmed Chaudhry PSP, QPM, praised the police team for its performance.

The SSP also directed police officials to further intensify operations against criminal elements and continue snap checking and other law-enforcement measures across the district.

Police officials said further investigation into the arrested suspect is continuing to determine whether he has any connection with other criminal activities.
