Islamic nations have called on Iran to immediately cease attacks against its neighboring countries.

A meeting of Arab and Islamic foreign ministers was held in Riyadh, the Saudi capital, to discuss ways to support regional security and stability amid rising tensions in the Middle East.

During the session, Faisal bin Farhan condemned Iranian attacks on Gulf countries, stating that Saudi Arabia reserves the right to take military action in response. He emphasized that Iran is increasing regional tensions and displaying aggressive behavior toward its neighbors while affirming continued support for diplomatic negotiations to resolve the crisis.

Representing Pakistan Minister Ishaq Dar participated in the meeting. The Pakistani delegation reaffirmed the country’s position that all attacks on neighboring nations must end immediately.

The consultative meeting included participation from Azerbaijan, Bahrain, Syria, Qatar, Turkey, and the United Arab Emirates, along with foreign ministers from Kuwait, Jordan, and Egypt.

Statement Condemning Iranian Attacks

The official communiqué issued after the meeting strongly condemned Iran’s attacks on the region. It highlighted that Iran has targeted civilian infrastructure in Gulf states, including airports, oil facilities, embassies, and public areas, actions deemed unjustifiable under any circumstances.

Citing Article 51 of the UN Charter, the statement affirmed that Gulf states have the right to defend themselves. Iran was urged to respect international law and the sovereignty of neighboring countries and to halt all attacks immediately.
