Sukkur Police Crack Down on Drug Activities, Six Suspects Arrested in Multiple Operations

Sukkur Police carried out successful operations against drug-related activities across different areas of the district, resulting in the arrest of six suspects and the recovery of a significant quantity of narcotics. Cases have been registered against all arrested individuals under the relevant narcotics laws.

The operations were conducted on the directives of Senior Superintendent of Police Sukkur, Azhar Khan, as part of an ongoing crackdown against social evils and criminal elements.

In one operation, the SHO of A-Section Police Station led raids at various locations within the jurisdiction and arrested five suspects identified as Muhammad Jawad Mirani, Zulfiqar Mirani, Imtiaz Abbasi, Abdul Qayyum Wagha, and Ashiq Ali Brohi. The police recovered 2,550 grams of bhang along with more than 20 packets of gutka and mawa from their possession. Separate cases have been registered against the suspects under the Narcotics Act.

In another action, the SHO of Rohri Police Station conducted snap checking within the limits of the station and arrested a suspect identified as Babar Ali Sheikh. During the search, the police recovered 1,500 grams of charas from his possession. Legal proceedings have been initiated against the accused.

SSP Sukkur Azhar Khan appreciated the performance of the police teams and directed them to further intensify operations against drug dealers and other criminal elements.
