The Prime Minister of Canada, Mark Carney, has announced that Canada will never participate in a war against Iran.
In a statement, Mark Carney said Canada’s position regarding the conflict with Iran is clear and that the country has no intention of joining any military action against Iran. He emphasized that Canada will not take part in the war.
However, the Canadian prime minister noted that Canada supports efforts aimed at preventing Iran’s nuclear program from advancing and stopping the export of terrorism.
Mark Carney also said that countries of the Group of Seven (G7) will work together to find a common position to reduce tensions surrounding Iran.
He added that diplomatic cooperation among G7 members is important in order to ease the situation and prevent further escalation in the region.
