Chinese President Xi Jinping has outlined four principles that he believes are necessary for resolving the Palestinian issue.
According to Xi Jinping, the first principle is to prioritize a political settlement and pursue a two-state solution to the conflict.
The Chinese president said the second principle is that Palestinians themselves should govern the Palestinian people living in the West Bank and in Gaza after the war.
His third principle calls for adherence to humanitarian principles and protection of civilians, with appropriate arrangements to safeguard their lives and well-being.
The fourth principle, according to Xi Jinping, is that justice and equality must be upheld while seeking a solution to the Palestinian issue.
China has consistently supported a negotiated political settlement and the establishment of an independent Palestinian state as part of efforts to achieve lasting peace in the region.
