Polling is under way in the by-election for PS-30 Khairpur-5, with 254,980 registered voters eligible to cast their ballots.
According to the report, Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) candidate Asfandyar Kharl is contesting the election against seven independent candidates.
The TV channel reported that the Grand Democratic Alliance has boycotted the by-election.
The seat became vacant following the death of PPP Member of the Sindh Provincial Assembly Naeem Ahmed Kharl.
Voters in the constituency are taking part in the election to choose a new member of the Sindh Assembly.
