Pakistan’s Independence Day was celebrated with traditional enthusiasm at the Pakistan High Commission in New Delhi, where a flag-hoisting ceremony was held on Friday.
Pakistan High Commissioner Saad Ahmad Warraich hoisted the national flag at the Chancery lawn in the presence of High Commission officials, staff members and their families.
Speaking on the occasion, Warraich said the creation of Pakistan was not only the fulfilment of the long-standing desire of Muslims of the subcontinent to determine their own future but also the realisation of their resolve to have a separate homeland.
