Hyderabad : Public School Hyderabad organized a series of impressive events to mark Pakistan’s 79th Independence Day, reflecting national spirit, patriotism, and the institution’s rich literary, cultural, and sporting traditions. A large number of students, teachers, and distinguished citizens participated in the celebrations and expressed their deep love for the country.
As part of the Independence Day celebrations, a grand and dignified Independence Rally was organized by Public School Hyderabad. The rally started from Daud Mart and culminated at the Public School Stadium. It was led by School Principal Iqbal Memon, Madam Fareeda, and Sports Officer Rehan Sheikh.
The participating students and teachers carried national flags and expressed their unwavering love and devotion to Pakistan. National slogans and patriotic songs echoed throughout the rally, creating an atmosphere filled with enthusiasm and national pride.
Following the rally, various sporting competitions, races, and cultural programs were organized at the Public School Stadium and Sports Complex. Students participated in the activities with great enthusiasm and demonstrated their sporting and artistic abilities.
The young children of the Junior Section presented colorful tableaux and beautiful patriotic songs in an attractive and heartwarming manner. Their impressive performances received widespread appreciation from the audience and added charm to the celebrations. Their artistic talent and expressions of patriotism made the event particularly memorable.
The ceremony was skillfully hosted by Ms. Sanam Rehan, who conducted the proceedings with eloquence and confidence. Sports Officer Rehan Sheikh efficiently supervised and organized the various sporting competitions and related arrangements.
On the second day, a dignified flag-hoisting ceremony was held in the Senior Boys Section in the morning. School Principal Iqbal Memon attended the ceremony as the chief guest and formally inaugurated the event by hoisting the national flag.
Speaking on the occasion, Principal Iqbal Memon highlighted the establishment of Pakistan, the struggle for independence, and the immense sacrifices made by the people in terms of lives and resources for the creation of the country. He said that Pakistan was the result of the selfless struggle, unforgettable sacrifices, and exceptional determination of the nation’s forefathers. Therefore, he emphasized that protecting the country and contributing to its development, prosperity, and stability is a collective national, educational, and moral responsibility.
The school administration, senior teachers, and staff members from various departments played a significant role in making the Independence Day celebrations successful.
The ceremony was attended by Principal Iqbal Memon, Vice Principal Fazaluddin Memon, Vice Principal Fauzia Siddiqui, Ms. Maryam, Senior HODs Ghulam Muhammad Qureshi, Asghar, and Ayaz Shah, along with other teachers and staff members.
The efforts of Farhan Lodhi and his colleagues in organizing the event and maintaining discipline and order were also highly appreciated. Their excellent administrative arrangements further enhanced the dignity and overall presentation of the celebrations.
At the conclusion of the ceremony, students who demonstrated outstanding performance in various sports and other competitions were encouraged and honored with certificates and shields. A lavish breakfast was also arranged for the participants, teachers, guests, and other attendees.
The Independence Day celebrations at Public School Hyderabad concluded with a renewed commitment to promoting national unity, patriotism, educational and cultural awareness, while strengthening among students a sense of love for Pakistan and responsibility toward the nation.
