Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar held a telephone conversation with Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Ahmed Mohamed Abdelatty with the both sides discussing bilateral relations and matters of mutual interest.
According to the Foreign Office spokesperson, the Egyptian foreign minister congratulated Pakistan’s leadership, government and people on Independence Day and conveyed his best wishes for Pakistan’s peace, development and prosperity.
Badr Ahmed Mohamed Abdelatty reaffirmed Egypt’s commitment to further strengthening the close brotherly relations between Pakistan and Egypt.
Both sides agreed to enhance cooperation in all areas of mutual interest and discuss the importance of increasing high-level contacts.
The two foreign ministers also agreed to further strengthen institutional ties and cooperation between the two countries.
Ishaq Dar and Badr Ahmed Mohamed Abdelatty discussed regional and global developments and reviewed issues of mutual interest.
Pakistan and Egypt also agreed to maintain close contact and coordination on matters of common interest.
